Positive aspect “RCM” brought back to live:May 16, 1983

~ Biar D’Chol Biar ~

One of the positive aspect the so called “RCM” brought back to live is, May 16; a historical day that has been inadvertently forgotten by Juba’s elites since they became “millionaires” with South Sudan’s resources. This historical day many of us have been celebrating since childhood, has not been celebrated like it used to be since independence, July 9, 2011. There were time it’s been postponed in juba as if it’s not an important day, for reason many of us don’t comprehend. And this has been disrespectful to many, whose family members lost their lives, fighting for us to be freed.

Now, since “RCM” set it as the day to protest (not sure of why they chose this important day) many South Sudanese from Diaspora and home, came out in a full force as, “Happy May 16; this is a historical day that can’t be messed up with because many heroes/heroines died for the struggle of South Sudanese.” I’ve even seen soldiers monument, making rounds on social media, and many other things tied to this historical day. Great thing, right? Well, should I say, “Ngoth?” It seems we hear through our eyes, not through our ears anymore!

Sometimes, it takes weird thing to awaken something an important completely forgotten. finally, we’ve come to our conscious now, to remember May 16, 1983, a day South Sudanese took up arms against their oppressor-Arabs.

A few days ago, when I heard of protest, I gave it a blessing to go ahead as long as it’s a “peaceful” protest, because protest is the only way citizens expressed their angers, and a watchful government will look at protest, then, amended what she lost her focus on, then, recalibrated, but not to kill her citizens for going on streets. And this is what South Sudan government should be doing as many citizens are mad at her government. However, I’ve read many articles loaded on facebook that, “RCM” is tribal based moment that “wants to overthrow Dinka” as if government is a Dinka. If we’re fair, is Salva Kiir head of Dinka, or the government that included other tribes that want to go on protest? If so, then, why censored their rights? This was my argument last week.

Well, is there anything that isn’t a tribal based in South Sudan? If one looks at SPLM-IG, it’s basically dominated Dinka government. If one looks at SPLM-IO, It’s dominated Nuer moment. If one looks at NAS, it’s dominated equatoria based moment. So, nothing isn’t tribal based in South Sudan. So, let’s agree that we’re tribalist wizards whether being a Dinka, Nuer, Azande, Shilluk, etc! So stops pretending!

Now, this “RCM” moment that said, “Kiir Must Go!” have Kiir delivered the best speech he never delivered since 2005 to present. I’ve even heard him saying, “the government lost SPLM vision.” Did he say that right? Isn’t the reason he jailed his colleagues a few years ago when they said, “SPLM lost its vision?” Why now, that he admitted that, “the SPLM LOST ITS VISION?” Folks, it seems change is coming to South Sudan. Maybe the Holy man foot’s kissed recalibrated Kiir brain! Therefore, I wish this “RCM” made up their minds, and heard calls from their fellow citizens: South Sudanese to abandon their scheduled May 16, 2019 protest, and give peace a chance since Kiir is now on his feet to straighten things up. You’ve put President Kiir back to work. So, calls off your protest. And let’s celebrate May 16, 2019 instead. HAPPY MAY 16, 1983!

Let’s Demonstration proceed

~ Biar D’Chol Biar ~

Now, the diehard of South Sudan rogue regime in Diaspora and home are already out, “denouncing” a peaceful demonstration or protest scheduled to take place in Juba on May 16, 2019, yet they’ve been crying of “bad governance and insecurity in the nation?” I knew this was going to happen based on the affiliation of individuals to these bad leaders who ruled the nation with iron-fist! I said this yesterday that, “they all will come out, and line up behind their tribalists, and say, “oh, no this is not the way to change the government!” Really? What government y’all talking about? This government expired in 2015, and all we have in place is unconstitutional government that has been extended time and again. The Juba elites, and the warlord camp leader, Dr. Riek Machar want to cling on to power in whatever way possible. So, these leaders know what they’re doing in their camps!

Now, everyone have already lined up behind their tribal leaders: Dinka with their leader, Kiir Mayardit; Nuer with their leader, Dr. Riek Machar and etc. etc as it always been. Instead of getting these politicians out of politics because they’ve destroyed the nation whereby our future is in jeopardy, they’re now the one saying, “no demonstration to take place.” Man, this folks got no brains to think. The war has been going for the last few years and nothing has changed. These leaders are playing game of seek-and-hide, to fool South Sudanese that they’re working on implementing peace agreement. If there’s peace agreement, then, why is it taking so long if one thinks they care of average citizens in the nation? They don’t care about you and I!

Interestingly, a month ago, or so, these people who’re “denouncing” protest were getting amok on social when Sudanese ousted their rogue leader: Omar AL Bashir with his cliques. I saw a lot of people who wrote heavily of dictators of other nations such as Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Sudan, Uganda, Egypt etc, yet, they left “specks” in their own eyes when it comes to their nation, and say, “no regime change.” What is so different between Kiir & Riek and Bashir? Nothing! They’re all looters who’ve killed many Sudanese. Also, AL Bashir stole large amount of money so does Kiir Mayardit and Riek Machar. Everything is all about their families. Did South Sudanese take up arms just for their families to be the ones eating the nation’s wealth? Absolutely not! They’ve been in power for last 14 years since independence, and they’ve not even built a single paved road, health care, schools, nor security in the nation; The war veterans are begging in every city with no government supports; the war orphans are picking up foods from their garbages, yet we’re here making noises not to get rid of this regime? What is it that’ll do that they could do when a country was getting so much helps from international community and oil money? All they did was siphoned money! If there’s anything that get them out of power, so what? If the army cares of this nation that they picked up arms and fought for, then, they should allow demonstrators to express their frustration; and do what the Sudanese army did not to instigate violence. There’s no better way to get rid of dictators if they don’t listened and followed the rule of laws. So, a peaceful protest is the only way citizens expressed their frustration. But, Kiir cabals are the ones trying to instigate the violence through warning and want to unleash security agents to target the citizens. And I believe that’s not going to work because everyone is tired of this game.

Now, the Juba elites are doing the same thing they did on December 6, 2013, in which they turned peaceful demonstration into violence, and this not going to spare their lives this time if the violence happened again. They need to be careful not to unleash their security agents against citizens. I’ve learned that, one individual, who was alleged to be part of the protest have been gunned down by “unknown gunmen” today, just to scare people off. But, this is something Juba regime is known for: eliminates the “educated youth” so they remained in power. So, anyone denouncing protest isn’t thinking properly. The warning a pure strategies to scare off population not to go on streets, and demonstrate so that they stay in power as they want. I’m very sure their days are numbered. If the demonstration ousted the powerful dictators such as Omar Al-Bashir of Sudan, Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, Zine El Abidine of Tunisia, Abdelaziz Bouteflika of Algeria etc, then, why can’t it work in South Sudan? South Sudan is for all of us, and not for individual to use it as they want. Let’s the peaceful demonstration proceed! If the army wants to continue killing citizens over Kiir, then, let’s them die!
